PKF WALCHA ROAD RIDE CHALLENGE – 75km   …….  &

PKF WALCHA ROAD RIDE SchMALLENGE – 56km

START:  Walcha Showground       FINISH:  South Street / McHattan Park / Walcha Farmers Market

Join the PKF Walcha Road Ride Challenge; the original 75km cycling circuit through the picturesque surrounding countryside and villages of Kentucky, Wollun and Walcha Road.

OR the short-course of 56km, a new addition in 2017,  cutting straight through to Wollun via the recently sealed Bergen Road.  This being a Shandied-down version of the Challenge we have aptly named it the PKF Walcha Road Ride ‘Schmallenge’

Registrations are from 7.30am for an 8.00am start at the Walcha Showground.

WALCHA FARMERS MARKET

McHattan Park 8.30am – 12.30pm.

At the Walcha Farmers Market you can wander around the fabulous stalls, grab an espresso coffee, sample the local food and produce or pick up something for the garden.

BILLY CART DERBY

McHattan Park / South Street / 11.00am startbillycart

Watch the Road Ride Challengers roll in and cheer them on….then enjoy the thrills and spills from the Billy Cart Derby, or better still, enter and have a run down the hill yourself… if you dare!

To ride in the Derby please read the Billy Cart Race Rules and print and complete a Billy Cart Indemnity Form.

WALCHA QUILT EXHIBITION

Woolshed, Langford Homestead  9.00am – 4.00pm.

At the Walcha Quilt Exhibition, open both days in the Villa Wolka Woolshed at ‘Langford Homestead’, you will find a fabulous display of beautifully crafted quilts.  Entry is by gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.


TRASH & TREASURE MARKET

Derby Street  9.00am – 1.00pm.

Organised by the proprietors of the local old wares shop, the Trash and Treasure Market is held at the Fun Clown Shop in Derby Street (opposite the Apsley Arms Hotel).


SATURDAY AFTERNOON SESSION

Commercial Hotel, Meridian Street  2.00pm onwards.

Enjoy some great live music at this popular country pub.  Relax and order a meal or a cold beverage and soak up the live entertainment.


DISCOVER WALCHA!

There is also plenty to see, do and discover in the beautiful national parks surrounding Walcha.  The awe-inspiring Apsley Falls are a must see for anyone visiting Walcha.  Only a short 15 minute drive from the town’s centre and very accessible, you will be amazed at the magnitude of the Apsley Gorge and stunning Apsley Falls just off the Oxley Highway.
