THE WALCHA MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL IS A FABULOUS TWO-DAY FESTIVAL HELD ANNUALLY DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER IN THE BEAUTIFUL TOWN OF WALCHA, PART OF THE NEW ENGLAND HIGH COUNTRY
Walcha is a lush pasture wonderland with beautiful scenery, art, antiques, historical buildings, delightful cafes and accommodation just minutes from spectacular World Heritage listed national parks.
Day One centres around McHattan Park and includes the Farmers Market, Billy Cart Derby and PKF Walcha Road Ride Challenge.
The Walcha Quilt Exhibition is also held over both days in the woolshed at historic Langford Homestead. The Quilt Exhibition opening night will be held on Friday 20 October from 6-9pm at the Langford woolshed. Cost is $10 and includes wine and finger food. All welcome.
Other events on Saturday include a Trash & Treasure Market at the Fun Clown Shop and live music by local musicians.
Day Two is held in the magnificent grounds of historic Langford Homestead and is run in conjunction with Carlo’s IGA Captains Ride; fundraising for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
If you are not a bike rider there is plenty to see and do at Langford including; tours of the historic mansion, vintage cars, remote controlled model ships, live entertainment, Australian Wool Fashion Awards Parades, a rock climbing wall, a variety of market stalls, good food, New England Brewing Beers and Whyworry Wines.
The children will be entertained with free activities including bush croquet, facepainting, an egg throwing competition and jumping castle.
